But I can volunteer at a Catholic School.
This year, more than ever, we need volunteers at our little school.
A balanced budget is a pre-requisite for launching the new school year. Because the proposed budget is tight, we are not in a position to hire a second teacher. The plan, instead, is to hire a Teacher's Aid to be in the classroom in the morning and have a volunteer present from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. and another from 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm. This will get the financial job done.
Directress Kasperson tells me that the afternoon subjects will be catechism, history, art and science. Except for catechism, all of these are broad enough to appeal to a large number of people. Volunteer opportunities include not just the normal topics but also First Aid and Wood Working. Please see the form over on the Volunteer page for more information on that.
And please encourage others to volunteer!
Father Rob of St. Anthony's tells us that we needn't be biblical figures or clergy or overseas missionaries in order to carry out Christ's ministries. We do that in our own small but important ways. Every day.
Cheers,
John
